Safety & Community Guidelines
Last updated:
1. Our commitment
RecipeBee is a place for sharing recipes, tips, and inspiration. We work to keep the community safe, respectful, and focused on food. These guidelines apply to all user-generated content (UGC), including recipes, images, and AI chat messages.
By using RecipeBee, you agree to follow these standards. We may take action when content violates our rules or creates risk for others.
2. What's allowed
- Original or properly credited recipes, tips, and cooking instructions.
- Food photos and images you own or have permission to share.
- Respectful, constructive comments and questions about recipes.
- AI-assisted content that is accurate, safe, and follows these guidelines.
3. What's not allowed
- Hate speech, harassment, or bullying.
- Sexual content, exploitation, or nudity.
- Violence, threats, or instructions for harm.
- Self-harm or suicide content.
- Illegal activity or dangerous instructions.
- Misinformation that could lead to unsafe food handling or health risks.
- Spam, scams, or deceptive content.
- Intellectual property violations, including unlicensed copyrighted recipes or images.
- Personal data such as phone numbers, addresses, or financial details.
4. How moderation works
We use a combination of automated filters and human review to keep content safe. Content may be screened before it appears publicly. Items can move between states like visible, under review, removed, or rejected based on risk signals and reports.
We prioritize speed and accuracy. Most low-risk content appears quickly, while potentially unsafe items are held back for review.
5. Reporting content
If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it. Reports help us review content faster and keep the community safe.
- Use the Report button on a recipe or image to submit a report.
- Provide a reason and optional details to help our reviewers.
- We review reports and may remove content or restrict accounts when necessary.
6. Blocking users
You can block users to stop seeing their content. Blocking hides their recipes and activity from you and is not visible to the blocked user.
7. Appeals and questions
If your content is removed or restricted and you believe it was a mistake, contact us and include any relevant context. We'll review appeals as quickly as possible.

8. Updates
We may update these guidelines as RecipeBee grows or as safety requirements evolve. Changes will be posted here, and significant updates may be communicated in the app.
